I had an awesome cupcake this weekend called a Grasshopper. It was a yellow cake with a hint of mint, with chocolate syrup and whip cream as frosting. But you could also do a mocha icing and I think that would be lovely!
Let's see, idea #2. Pecan Pie! Caramel cake, buttercream icing, crushed pecan sprinkles. And even talk your talented sister-in-law to make some pecan jam. I've never had any, but I've heard about it.
Hi Anne, thanks for stopping by my blog. Please fell free to whenever you can :) kinda funny cuz my fiance and my siblings have been referring to me as ann for the past year or so, haha.
My fiance and I still have bnot figured out a thing about a wedding or getting married. Sure I'll post when we do. I'm all about vegas at this point ;)
Now on to the cupcakes! Yummy!! For a flavor.....any way you could make one taste like apple pie?!? Apple pie totally reminds me of fall and thanksgiving :)
Christmas Cupcake made with our Christmas jam of course! Christmas jam is Chunks of Cranberries and pineapple!! Or spiced sugar plum!
Your cupcakes look wonderful! Your sister's jams and jellies are simply the best. We love selling them in the store. Talk her into doing some pumpkin butter for you. I can only imagine the creative cakes you could bake with it! Pumpkin-banana-chocolate chip with or without nuts...gosh, I could go on forever.
For Christmas, I think you should do something with the Pomegranate jelly with orange sponge cake topped with a sprig of mint. You should also try corn muffins with the hot pepper jelly.
I think a pumpkin cream would be fantastic. I'm npt sure if you could incorporate jam into that or not (:
I always think of pumpkin pie or spice cake during the Christmas season. Both would be good with a cream cheese type of icing, not sure about the jam part, but I agree with katie that some sort of pecan jam would probably make it so very good.
Another idea is the whole fruit cake thing. I hate fruit cake, but it would give you license to use several fruit flavors in one cupcake :)
How about cupcakes with white chocolate chunks and dried cranberries with a festive cream cheese frosting?
Did I miss the deadline??? Dang traveling! can you do an angel food cupcake with that yummy Christmas jam that your SIL mentioned? Or a pound cake cupcake...mmmm!
